There was some serious talent there with Billy Bragg, Eliza Carthy, Martin Carthy, Sheila Chandra, Simon Emmerson, Andy Gangadeen, Francis Hylton, Johnny Kalsi, Barney Morse Brown, Sheema Mukherjee, Chris Wood and The Young Coppers plus Benjamin Zephaniah and John Copper on the big screen (looking a little like Holly from Red Dwarf at times). Eliza Carthy was the real find for me, she bounced around the stage like a mad thing playing the fiddle amazingly and Johnny Kalsi's drumming when he got to be centre stage had me grinning like a loon (I want his coat btw). Local lads and lasses The Young Coppers are a bunch we'll need to track down for a live show.
If you can get a ticket at any of the remaining shows do it, it's well worth it.
